A Bookish Candle Haul 💗

Welcome! How is everyone today? I'm spending today relaxing and then I'm off to a rehearsal tonight. I feel like recently my organisation skills are SHOCKING! I'm so behind in my photography for my instagram and I'm finding it hard to find time to sit down and read! Hopefully when I finish work in the next few weeks and I'm back at uni I will be able to get back to my organised self again!

Since moving in with Matt, I can FINALLY burn candles. When living with my mum, I'm not allowed to burn candles due to having a younger sister and my mum also gets a little nervous having a lit candle in our rooms and then when I'm at uni, we shouldn't be burning candles as it is in our contracts not to! So I'm over the moon that I can finally burn candles as their are so many brands that I want to try out! I recently made a purchase on Book Worm Candles and I'm SO excited to burn these beautiful candles and smell their beautiful scents! I thought I would share with you what candles I ordered.
I decided to purchase a bulk set as I just couldn't decide what candles to go for! I was especially intrigued by the 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' collection as that book is one of my all time favourite books. The overall gist of this set is that each candle is a different court and they all smell divine! There are 7 candles in total and what I love most about them is that they are all different and have their own little quirk about them that relates to the court that they are based on!

Winter Court - Snowflakes, Peppermint & Cranberry
Spring Court - Musks, Bluebells & Spring Grass
Summer Court - Turquoise, Sea Breezes & Hidden Things
Autumn Court - Fallen Leaves, Cedar & Pumpkin
Dawn Court - Sunrise, Morning Dew & Peach
Night Court - Darkness, Answering Stars & Spirit
Day Court - Sunlight, Warmth & Renewed Strength

I have only burned Spring Court so far and it smells so fresh and beautiful it makes me excited to burn the others. From burning Spring Court I have learnt that they are quite slow burners which is great as it means the scent will last longer. For the whole set it was £16 and even though they are only 2oz pots, I'm impressed with how much product is in the actual tin!
I love these candles so far and I will definetly be buying more candles from this brand! I have my eyes on their Harry Potter candles, so maybe I will purchase one or two in the future! If you haven't checked this brand out then you definitely should! Have you bought any book themed candles? Do you have a go-to brand you purchase from?

Until next time, Tabitha ☕️📖🎠

Book Haul 💗 #1

Welcome! How is everyone today? I have a day off and so I'm going to be spending it with my boyfriend as he luckily has a day off too! I also have show rehearsals tonight too so I'm looking forward to getting my dancing on, hehe.

As a book lover, I buy a LOT of books, far more than I should buy but hey ho, I love them! I thought that after I have accumulated a fair amount of books I would write a post and share them with you as a book haul. I would do these posts monthly but some months I buy lots of books and other months I will only buy 1! It really does depend on what mood I'm in. During this book haul I will be sharing with you 7 books that I have recently bought and I can't wait to read all of them!

'Save The Date' (goodreads link)'The Unexpected Everything' by Morgan Matson (goodreads link)
After watching Regan's (PeruseProject) resent vlogs and seeing her rave about 'Save The Date' & 'The Unexpected Everything' I just knew I had to pick them up. I have already read one of Matson's books (Since You've Been Gone) and I loved it! 'Save The Date' is about a girl named Charlie who is pining for an upcoming weekend to be perfect. It's been ages since all of her siblings and herself have been in the same house and so she wan't it be perfect before the house is sold and everything changes. However, not everything is going to plan, causing definite problems for Charlie.

'The Unexpected Everything' follows Andie, a politicians daughter who has everything planned out. However that soon changes after a scandal leaves her living with her dad and gaining a job as a dog walker. Now everything that she expected in her summer is not what she expected at all! But is that a bad thing?

I can't wait to read both of these books. Definitely a pair of great summer reads! (hopefully...)

'Scythe' by Neal Shusterman (goodreads link)
Another book Regan has raved about on her book vlogs recently is 'Scythe', which is the first book in the 'Arc of a Scythe' series. This book is about a world where humanity have conquered death and so Scythes are there to control the balance by executing citizens so that the population doesn't get out of hand. The story follows Citra and Rowan who have recently been chosen to train to become Scythes, however neither of them want to be Scythes but if they refuse they face death themselves.

This book sounds great and really up my street as I just love fantasy books. So I can't wait to get to this book soon and see whether this book is as great as everyone says it is!

'Uprooted' by Naomi Novik (goodreads link)
I have seen this book so much around the book blogging world for quite a while now and because the second book in the series has recently been released I have finally decided to purchase this book as it's been on my TBR for quite some time. 'Uprooted' follows a village girl named Agnieszka who's village relies on a wizard to keep his powers at bay who lives in the forest. This wizard however demands a terrible price in return of keeping his powers at bay and that is the request of a young women to be handed over to serve him for ten years. Everyone fears that the next girl he will choose is a young women named Kasia, who is also Agnieszka's best friend however, when the wizard comes to the village to request the young women, it is not Kasia who he decides to take.

Again, I have heard so much great things about this book and now that the second book has been released I just know I need to get to this one soon. It sounds so magical and dangerous that I just know it will be something I will thoroughly enjoy.

'The Winners Crime' (goodreads link) & 'The Winners Kiss' by Marie Rutkoski (goodreads link)
As you probably all know from my latest review, read it here, you will know that I LOVED 'The Winners Curse', the first book in the 'Winners Trilogy' and so I NEEDED to get the second and third book to this series. As you can see, I have already started reading 'The Winners Crime' and so far my heart is aching and I am still loving Kestrel and Arin. I can't wait to see where this story will go and I'm sure I will update you all on how I felt about this final two books in one of my future wrap ups.

'A Darker Shade of Magic' by V.E. Schwab (goodreads link)
Finally, I picked up the first book in the 'Shades of Magic Trilogy', 'A Darker Shade of Magic'. If you know your books then you will know that V.E. Schwab is such a well known author for her amazing fantasy books. So many people love her as an author and I have been wanting to pick up her books for a while and so when I heard that there was going to be a 'Shades of Magic' read-a-long during the months August, September & October, I just knew this was the perfect opportunity for me to pick these books up and I can't wait to start reading this book!

If you don't know what 'A Darker Shade of Magic' is about, it follows Kell, one of the last Antari. Kell is a magician with the rare ability to travel between parallel Londons (Red, Grey, White and once, upon a time, Black). Kell however, is also a smuggler, smuggling all sorts of different things to the individuals willing to pay but when an exchange goes awry, Kell is forced to flee.

I can't wait to get into this book and I also can't wait to get involved with the read-a-long that is taking place! If you're interested and would like to join in, then watch Spencer's video to get all the details!

So they are all the books I have recently bought (a lot, I know!). I can't wait to get to them all and hopefully you will see some in my future wrap ups! Have you read any of these books?

Until next time, Tabitha ☕️📖🎠

The Winners Curse by Marie Rutkoski 💗

Book Reviews With Tabitha #1
Good morning all! I hope you are all well. I have a full day at work, which to be honest I'm gutted about as Matt's family is meeting up for a big family meal and it sucks that I can't be there! Today, I'm going to be sharing with you my thoughts and opinions on a book I have recently read. This is my first book review I have written in a while so sorry if it's not the best but hopefully over time my reviews will become a little more in depth. However, I'm really excited to share with you my opinions on this book so let's begin!

Well, firstly, what a book! I have been in a reading slump for quite a while but this book definitely got me out of that! It was so good, I loved every minute of it and I can't wait to continue on with the trilogy. This story follows a general's daughter in an empire that conquers in war and enslaves who they conquer. This young girl is called Kestrel and she has a choice to make, get married or join the army. Kestrel however doesn't want to do either but play music. One day she accidentally stumbles across a slave auction and she ends up buying a slave and this slave changes everything. However Arin (the slave) has other plans.

Kestrel and Arin at first are very cold with one another however as the story goes along you witness them warming to one another. I absolutely love the friendship between Kestrel and Arin as even though you can clearly tell that they both care for one another, there is an underlining tension which just makes their relationship so real and believable when considering their circumstances. I also loved the whole slave and master love trope as it creates a kind of danger and uneasiness to the relationship. Marie Rutkoski did a fantastic job with this trope as she made it quite subtle and didn't make the relationship seem really unrealistic. I can't wait to see where Kestrel's and Arin's relationship goes in the nest two books. I am definitely a shipper of this pair!
This book wasn't heavily filled with world building however I didn't mind that. It had enough for me to be able to visualise the setting. Sometimes I really don't like overly detailed settings as it can be a little boring and I can occasionally loose interest. What I especially loved was seeing Herran through Arin's eyes as he once lived their freely, so I enjoyed seeing his views throughout the book, especially when they visited different buildings and areas of Herran. It gave the book an even more emotional feel to it, as you feel sad that Arin lost his home. This conflicts with your feelings towards Kestrel though, as she's such a bright character but her people our the ones who stole away Arin's home. It definitely gave the book more depth as you were dealing with two different characters but love them equally.
Overall, I absolutely loved reading this story and I can't wait to pick up 'The Winners Crime' to see where Arin and Kestrels story goes. I hope it ends happy but somehow I have a feeling that it won't be so cheery! But lets keep our fingers crossed! Have you read 'The Winners Curse'?

I'm not sure if I will review the second or third book like I did with this one as I think I would struggle to not give any spoilers away! However, I will let you know my brief thoughts on them in future wrap ups, which I hope you will enjoy equally!

I have really enjoyed writing this review. Hopefully over time my ability to review books will improve and I can't wait to review more books. I have started to annotate my books so hopefully my reviews will become more in depth and I will be able to share with you my favourite quotes and moments more often!

Until next time, Tabitha ☕️📖🎠

Starting a Fresh 💗

Welcome back! I know it's been a while but I have finally sat down and sorted my life out(ish). To be honest, I needed that break as I just wasn't in the right head space at all. I have had some time to think and reevaluate what I want from my blog, and I finally feel happy enough to sit down and start blogging again. Now that I'm back, I'm so excited to get back on it, in regards to writing posts and sharing content. I also can't wait to rekindle and make new blogging friends as I really do miss this part of my life.

Firstly, I have decided to go back to my roots and make this blog primarily a book blog. When I first started my blog I wrote reviews and shared my monthly wrap-ups and TBRs and I miss that terribly. I think it's probably because I LOVE reading and so I want to focus on that more. I will occasionally post the odd life or Disney post as I love that side of blogging as well, I just want to focus on reading as that's what I've been doing a lot recently and I want to share my love of books once again.

I'm also going to take a more relaxed approach and not stress myself out about getting my posts up on a certain day. I may post once a week or twice but that all depends on my mood and creativity. I just want blogging to be fun again and not something I stress about. If I somehow fall in to a pattern then great but if I don't it won't be the end of the world.
I'm so excited to start writing new posts for you all to read and I do hope you don't mind my little changes to my blog. I have already got one post almost ready so keep an eye on my twitter, instagram or bloglovin' for that!

Please leave a comment down below if you're as excited as I am and I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on my new blog ideas! All the support would be great!

Until next time, Tabitha ☕️📖🎠

My New Holy Grail Eye Brow Products | Beauty Review #4

Morning everyone! I hope you are feeling wonderful this morning! I know I am as today is PACKING DAY! Tomorrow evening after Matt and I have finished work we are off to Gatwick to check into the hotel ready for our flight on Wednesday morning. I am so excited, it's an understatement!

I'm coming to you with another beauty review post and I hope you all enjoy it. A couple of weeks back I wondered into Debenhams looking for the perfect brow product. Obviously, I walked straight up to the Benefit stand as we all know that they are known for their #1 brow products and I'm so pleased I decided to visit them. I was served by the lovely Adele and she looked after me very well and hooked me up with some brilliant brow products.

Adele used this product first to initially fill my brows in and oh my it really is goof proof as it's so easy to use and only a little bit of product is needed as it goes such a long way. I love using this as it's fast and you can make your brow look pretty defined and precise with just this pencil.

Before having my consultation with Benefit, I used to use an eyebrow powder for my eyebrows religiously as I thought that it made my eyebrows look most natural and I found it the easiest to use out of the other products brands had to offer. Adele used the brow powder to further define my eyebrows by using the two different shades in the palette. It just made my eyebrows look more defined than they did before with just the Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil.

After the eyebrow pencil and eyebrow powder was applied, Adele used the Gimme Brow to my eyebrows pop just a little more. Gimme Brow tints your eyebrows as well as sets your eyebrows which I love as it means I can make my eyebrows stay in the shape I want them to be in.

Finally, to really make my eyebrows stand out (in a good way), Adele used the Boi-ing concealer under my eyebrows to define my eyebrows and make my brow bone pop out too (like a highlighter).
Honestly, I love these products and though they are pricey they last and they really do make your eyebrows look FABULOUS. What's also great about the three eyebrow products is that you can use them individually so if you're in a rush in the morning you can just slap on some Gimme Brow and your set to go! I guess the only downside to these products are the price, they are not cheap but they do last. So I guess it's up to you if you want to spend a little extra money but I really do love these products and I don't think I'll look back!

Until Next Time,

Holiday Haul PART 2!

What, another haul!? I know, I really have been splashing the cash recently but my excuse is that I go only holiday soon (5 days) and Matt kindly gifted me some vouchers! This time I went to Topshop, Pull & Bear and Forever 21, three of my favourite shops. I'm getting so excited now for my holiday, it really has flown by. I can't wait to be catching the rays whilst strolling down Main Street, U.S.A gazing at Cinderella's castle! The dream that I will be living very soon but for now let me share with you what I picked up.

Topshop Jersey Black & Red Boob Tubes
I've gone a little crazy when it comes to boob tubes as I just love the look of them at the moment. I picked up a classic black as that will go with pretty much anything and a red one as I 'Disney bound' as Winnie the Pooh one day when I'm at Magic Kingdom. Silly old Tabitha however, picked up a size 14 in the black boob tube so I'm going to have to try and swap that next week before I go away!

Topshop Leopard Boob Tube
Again, I have gone crazy! But I have also been wanting something leopard print for a while now so when I saw this I thought I'd pick it up as it will look cute with jean shorts or a skirt! I can't wait to wear this at Animal Kingdom!

Topshop High Wasted Mom Jean Shorts
I first saw Jade Billington wear these in her Disney World vlogs and I thought they were really flattering so when I saw these in Top Shop I thought I'd try them on. They do come up quite big so if you are looking to get these I would size down but other than that I LOVE these. They are just real cute and they make your waste look skinny too!

Topshop White Polka Dot Mini Skirt
I feel like this skirt is a little out there and different but I really loved the look of it when I saw it. It's also quite neutral in colour so won't clash with much (unless you wear something equally as busy on top) so I decided to get it! I also think it's fitting for Disney as it reminds me of Minnie!

Topshop Sunglasses
I've been needing some new sunglasses for a while now so as I had a Topshop voucher I picked a pair up! I feel that the cat eye shape sunglasses suit me most and these one's a little different to your classic cat eye sunglasses!

Pull & Bear Pink Nude Shorts
Normally, I will go in Pull & Bear and want to buy everything but this time nothing stuck out to me unfortunately, however I did see these and when I felt them, OH MAN they are soft. These will be perfect when I just want to throw something on light and comfortable for the day.

Forever 21 Mickey Mouse Halter Neck Bodysuit
Forever 21 is always great for Disney themed clothing but the only shop near me is the Oxford St. store so as I knew I was visiting Oxford St. I thought I'd pop in and when I saw this body suit I knew I had to have it instantly. It's quite basic in colour but it definitely screams DISNEY.

Forever 21 Mickey Mouse Halter Neck Crop
Another cute top I found in Forever 21 was this little gem. I love that it's real simple but still has a splash of Disney on it. You can never go wrong with a Disney top at Disney World.

There you have my holiday haul PART 2! I really hope you enjoyed this post. I can't wait to wear these clothes when I'm in Disney. I still can't believe it's only 5 days away and in 4 days I will be heading hotel at Gatwick and that will be when our holiday finally begins! I also can't wait to vlog and write blog posts sharing with you mine and Matt's holiday!

Until next time,

Tabitha xx

Tropical Paradise Palette (Tammi x Revolution) | Beauty Review #3

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely morning or day! I've had such a busy week a I have been working pretty much non-stop, which I guess isn't a bad thing as it means I have been earning money but damn I'm tired. Taking hay fever tablets doesn't help either as they constantly make you feel drowsy! I'd also like to update you all that I'm planning on uploading Monday's and Fridays from now on as I think they will work better with my day-to-day schedule!

Today, I bring you a new beauty review. Recently I have been OBSESSED with makeup, whether that's buying makeup, watching tutorials or reading beauty reviews, I have been obsessed and I have decided to take my blog down a more makeup route just because I'm enjoying it so much lately (and I have LOTS of new products I want to review and share with you).
Revolution have brought out quite a few new collab products recently and I just had to get my hands on them, especially because they were reasonably priced. Today, I'm going to be sharing my opinions on Tammi`s palette in collaboration with Revolution. If you don't know who Tammi is, she is a well known youtuber who uploads beauty videos weekly (as well as the odd fashion and lifestyle video).

If you love bright colours then you are going to love this palette. I have been searching for a palette with bold pinks in it for ages so when I saw the colour collection in this palette I just KNEW I had to purchase it and I'm so happy I did. The colours are quite bold which I adore as I have been getting a little more confident when it comes to wearing bold colours on a day to day basis but the shades in this palette would be ideal for a bold look for a night out or special occasion.
The shades are not 100% pigmented however they are really blendable and are incredibly easy to build up. I always find that all eye shadow palettes have a level of fall out, I find it impossible to prevent this. Tropical Paradise palette`s dropout is very minor which s great as it prevents that dreaded smudged eye shadow look under your eyes. Obviously these pros are what make a great eye shadow palette and I'm highly impressed by it so far. I cant wait to share with you some of the looks I have created with this palette. I'm even considering uploading on a specific day for only eye shadow looks to be uploaded on but we shall see.

I've so far made quite a few looks with this palette and even though the shades are not as pigmented as other palettes, the fact that it's really blendable and you can build up on colours definitely out shines that problem. If you follow me on Twitter you would have seen that I have been sharing with you more of my eye shadow looks (I'm still getting the hang of taking eye shadow look photos) so definitely give me a follow to see some of my looks I have made with this palette!
I really do love this palette and it's the perfect palette for a night out! Have you tried this palette out yet? If you haven't you can purchase it here and here!

I hope you enjoyed my latest beauty review, I'm loving them at the moment! I'm planning on uploading more and as I'm trying to expand in to youtube, I'm going to try and upload some makeup tutorials too!

Until next time,

Tabitha xx

Holiday Clothing Haul

As most of you probably know, I'm going to Disney World, Florida for my holiday this year and can you believe that in two weeks time I'm going to be walking around Magic Kingdom! I honestly cant believe it's two weeks away, it has flown by! On Tuesday, Matt and i went holiday shopping and I got a fair amount of items so I thought I would share with you what I got today! Everything I've bought I can't wait to wear, so I hope you enjoy this post.

Hollister Pink & Blue Off Shoulder Frill Top

These little tops are are super comfortable and I love how flattering they make my shoulders look. As they are also ribbed and not cropped they make your waist look skinnier than it normally looked which is always a plus! I also love the two colours I picked up as they will be go with most of my bottoms I will be taking such as a blue denim skirt!

Hollister Off-the-Shoulder Playsuit

I love this little play suit. When I saw it in Hollister I just knew I had to try it on and I'm so glad I did as it fitted perfectly. The material of this play suit is also very lightweight so will be perfect in the Floridian heat.

Hollister Halter Neck Playsuit

Again, when I saw this play suit, I knew I wanted to try it on and because I have pretty broad shoulders, halter neck tops usually look pretty flattering on me and this play suit is no exception. It's also tight fitting in top, making your waist look smaller. I can't wait to wear this little play suit.

New Look Ribbed Boob Tube & Striped Boob Tube

I normally want to hide my shoulders most of the time as I feel quite self-conscious about them however I bought a fair amount of items that emphasises your shoulders but in a flattering way. For instance I would NEVER buy a boob tube but when I tried these on they I just thought I looked really nice and so I thought, why not!? I can't wait to pair these up with my denim skirts!

New Look Green Off-the-Shoulder Crop Top

I have always loved these tops but I have never got round to actually buy one! I'm so glad I picked this little one up though as I just love the colour and it will look super cute with some blue denim bottoms!

New Look Burgundy Romper

This romper was only £10 and so thought I would try it on as rompers are pretty easy to wear. I loved how it looked as it was quite feminine so I decided to buy it (I mean it was only £10!)
New Look Yellow Denim Skirt

I'm constantly eyeing up yellow clothing items and about a month ago I tried on a yellow denim skirt but it just didn't fit me right however this one fits perfectly. I love the colour and I could create a sweet Winnie-the-Pooh look!

New Look Striped Midi Dress

I would never normally buy a long dress as normally they make me look quite frumpy but I loved how this midi dress looked. I tried it on with my sandal heels and I just knew I had to have it. I can't wait to create a cute little look with this dress!

Primark Disney PJs

I mean, who doesn't buy new Disney PJs when they go to Disney World?

River Island Halter Neck Swimsuit & Orange Wrap Bikini

I adore these swimsuits I picked up from River Island. I especially love the orange wrap bikini because it's so different to any other bikini I have worn before!

The Collection (Debenhams) Sarong

When I was in Egypt a girl on my trip wore a Sarong and it looked so pretty! So when I saw this sarong for only £10 I knew I had to pick it up and give it a go. It's going to be perfect when we go to the water parks!

I've been wanting some Birkenstocks for a while so I thought I would buy some for when I go to Disney. I'm currently wearing them all over the house in the hopes I have broke them in when it comes to going to Florida!

Ted Baker Purse

If you read my latest post then you would know that I have been looking for a new Ted Baker purse! This one was only £36 (originally £90) in the outlet store and I think it's really pretty so I went a head and purchased it!

There you have my holiday clothing haul! I'm also going to Top Shop next week to pick up a few bits so I may do another little haul before I leave next week so keep an eye open for that! I'm also sure you will see a few outfit of the day posts too featuring my new clothes too!

Until next time,

Tabitha xx
