My Travel Bucket List

Aloha dolls 🌺

Firstly, let's just apologise for the lack of interaction on my twitter profile. I'm currently in Spain with university and where we are, there is a lack of WiFi and to be honest, I'm just enjoying the Spain sun as well as focusing on my assignment. However, seeing as I'm in Spain and I'm also going to Egypt & Florida this year, it has got me thinking about my travel bucket list and the countries/areas I would love to visit one day soon. It's quite a lengthy list but they are all places I hope to explore one day in the future. Matt and I have plans already to visit some in the next 2 years, which is incredibly exciting and I'm sure I will fill you all in when those trips are planned! Anyway, on we go with the bucket list...
πŸŒ… New Zealand
πŸŒ„ Hawaii Islands
πŸŒ… Norway
πŸŒ„ Iceland
πŸŒ… Indonesia
πŸŒ… India
πŸŒ„ Paris
πŸŒ… Canada
πŸŒ„ America - Texas, Mississippi, New Orleans, Boston, New York, California and Massachusetts (Salem to be exact).
πŸŒ… Australia
πŸŒ„ Italy
πŸŒ… Caribbean Islands
πŸŒ„ Jamaica
πŸŒ… Morocco
πŸŒ„ Mauritius
πŸŒ… China
πŸŒ„ Thailand
πŸŒ… Greece
πŸŒ„ Africa
πŸŒ… Scotland/Edinburgh
πŸŒ„ Ireland
πŸŒ… Antarctica
πŸŒ„ Mexico
πŸŒ… Madagascar
πŸŒ„ The Philippines
As I stated there are a lot of destinations on this list and it's always growing! I'm hoping that one day in the future I can look back and say I visited some if not all the destinations I have stated in this post! I'm also hoping that one day my future job will allow me to travel around seeing as I'm aiming to work in conservation! Wish me luck that I reach my goal job one day!

Reading Round Up #1

Aloha dolls πŸŒΊ

As much as I love monthly reading wrap ups and TBRs, they stress me out immensely. I always feel bad for not reading loads of books and so I came to the decision of writing a reading round up when I have completed 5 books! I also thought this was a fun idea to do this yearly so I can document how many books I have read throughout the year of 2018 without feeling really stressed each month! I think this is more of a relaxed way of doing things. Anyway, let's get on with the very first reading round up of 2018.
Opal by Jennifer L, Armentrout - 4 πŸŒŸ
I'm so happy I got back into this series. I picked up the first two books way back in 2016 and I never got round to picking up the next books! Crazy, I know. After recapping what happened in the first two books on youtube and then I picked up the third book and damn, I remember why I loved the first two books. The third book follows on with the story and I would go into more detail but I'm scared if I mention anything it will spoil the story. I can tell you however that the whole series is very similar to Twilight but with aliens.. yes, aliens. It's a love story between a girl and a alien, I mean what is not to love!? Overall, I adored the third book and the ending made me cry, making me pick up the fourth book instantly!

Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout - 5 πŸŒŸ
This is the 4th book in the 'Lux' series and again, I loved this book. I just love this series. So many people rave about it and now I know why. It just grips you and keeps you wanting to read more and more as soon as you start reading it. Again I would love to spill further into this book but I'm afraid that would spoil you badly if I did, so you will just have to take my word for it. PLEASE pick this series up if you haven't already, I promise you it's such a great, fun, cheesy read!
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black - 4 🌟
This book was everything I loved. When you give me a book that is solely about the fae folk then 9 times out of 10 I will love it. I don't know what it is but I just love reading about faeries and about the history of them. The Cruel Prince follows a young mortal-human girl (Jude) struggling to find her place in the faerie realm. Jude is a very strong character and I loved following her story line. It was really interesting to watch her grow as character. The becomes very dark and nitty gritty and ends in such a way that it has left me craving more! I can't wait for the second book to be released next year. The only thing I would say is that there is an element of bullying in the book and the way it is somewhat resolved isn't the greatest. If you can see past this though, you will definitely enjoy the read if you're a lover of fae and magic like me!
Melancholy Mind by Charlene McElhinney - 5 🌟
This was a beautiful read. If you struggle with your mental health then I would 100% recommend this book. Charlene does a perfect job of addressing her story through the art of poetry. I haven't read much poetry but I really enjoyed reading this book. The book made me reflect on my own life and what's great about this book is that you can other read it in order or you can pick it up and read it in any order! I'm so glad I finally picked up Charlene's book as it was so thought provoking and eye opening. You need to pick this book up if you haven't already and by buying this book you are also supporting a fellow blogger which is another great factor!
The Mermaid Sister by Carrie Anne Noble - 4 🌟
What a  magical book, I wasn't expecting this book to be as good as it was. I haven't read many books about mermaids and so I don't hold huge amounts of knowledge on them but wow, I want to pick up more mermaid books now! This story follows two sisters and their best friend 'brother-like-figure'. One of the sisters is turning into a mermaid and it's vital that she is taken to the ocean otherwise she will become unwell and be lost forever. She also struggles with the fact that the boy she loves, loves her sister, yet she puts on a brave face throughout the story as all she wants is to make her sister happy and to save her. I really did enjoy this book. There is an element in the book that I'm not 100% on but I can look past that. If you love mystical/magical reads like me, then you will love this read!

Overall, the first 5 books I have read this year have all been pretty great! I'm quite bad when it comes to rating my books as I'm not too fussy when it comes to reading them! Most of my books average a 3-5 star rating! I would love to know if you have read any of these books and whether you enjoyed them! I'm hoping my reviews will become a little more in-depth as I get more into them!

Thanks for reading,

Destination Goals #1

Aloha dolls 🌺

Recently I have been really successful when it comes to following and sticking to my goals. I thought every now and then I would give you an update my goals in the hopes I stick to my goals over the months I hope to achieve them. I enjoy reading goal posts too as it helps me stay motivated to reach my personal goals.

Stay organised and up to date with my blog schedule
This is something that I have been doing so well with recently. I'm hitting my schedule on the nail at the moment, posting twice a week every week for 2 months and I'm so proud of myself. This is something I want to keep up with as seeing my little blog grow in popularity really does bring such a massive smile on my face. I have almost reached 500 followers on Twitter and seeing that's where I post the most, letting everyone know I have published a new post, it indicates that my blog traffic is getting bigger! I know it's not all about the numbers but it does make you happy when your little blog grows. So keeping up with my schedule and staying organised is something I want to try and stay good at.

Eat Healthy
This is something I'm constantly struggling with. It's a constant battle that I have, eating healthy but then bingeing on 4 mini batten-bergs. I'm a nightmare. So I'm determined to make a change. Something I have changed though is my intake on coffees. I drink far to many coffees a day (I could probably drink about 4 cups a day - bad!) and so I have started to drink more herbal teas as they are only 2 calories a cup and they also do wonders to your body. They also taste super yummy and I feel so relaxed and 100% more healthy. Let's hope this healthy eating journey continues!

Workout 3-5 times a week
Working out is another activity I really struggle with too. I will go to the gym for 2 days and then I won't go for another week or 2. I'm so bad when it comes to a workout schedule! I'm going to be cancelling my gym membership however as I just don't use it but I do want to implement home workouts into my life. I love Lucy Wyndham-Read's workouts online and so I really want to make an effort of doing these at least 3-5 times a week!

Save, save, save!
I real bad when it comes to saving. I used to be really good at it when I had a job but now that I don;t have a job and I'm a student with no money! So, I really need to get my arse back into gear and get better at saving. I have signed up at my library to stop me from buying more books and I'm just not going to buy anything unless I really need it! My plan is to save up to £1000 before the end of June - wish me luck!

Clear out my room
I hate how cluttered my room is. I have stuff everywhere! My plan is just to de-clutter my whole room as there is so much stuff in my room that I just don't need. It also makes my room look so messy when I look at how much stuff there really is in there. So hopefully over the next month or so I will de-clutter my room completely (this includes my university room and home room). Maybe when I have finally reached this goal I could share with you a room tour!? Would you be interested in reading a post like that?
There you have all my current goals, I aim to achieve these goals over the next month or so and I also plan to right a catch up post later on to let you all know how I'm getting on and whether i have achieved any of these goals!

Looking Back at Disney World Memories

Aloha dolls 🌺

As most of you all know, I'm heading off to Disney World this coming summer and I can not wait. In my last post (Disney Holiday Announcement) I shared with you all that I plan to post a Disney themed post every month in the lead up to mine and Matt's holiday to share the excitement with you all. My first themed post I'm going to be sharing with you is a look back at mine and Matt's last Disney World holiday back in 2016. There are so many memories I look back on from our last trip that make me feel all gooey and happy inside. It just get's me all excited for when we go in June!

Seeing the castle for the first time
This really was such a magical moment for Matt and I. It was a goose bump moment for sure too. We were lucky enough to see the castle before normal opening hours due to having a breakfast dining reservation super early so that we had to get in the park early. The park was practically empty and so we got some brilliant photos without the huge crowds which was just lovely. I can't wait to walk down main street once again.

Meeting Mickey Mouse
Who goes to Disney World and doesn't meet Mickey Mouse?! Crazy people that's who! Of course, we went and met Mickey on our first day and we actually went to meet talking Mickey too so our visit was a little different from normal. I definitely can't wait to give this happy mouse a squeeze when we next go and in fact we are going to be meeting him for sure on the day we arrived and what a welcome will that be.

Dining at Be Our Guess
If you don't follow the hustle and bustle of what's the most loved restaurants/attractions at the parks then you may not have heard about Be Our Guest. Be Our Guest is a Beauty & The Beast themed restaurant and it is stunning. I just knew Matt and I had to go as it was so highly raved about. We went for breakfast on our first morning at Disney and for dinner later on in the week. I can express how much detail goes into the themeing of the restaurant but oh my, it really is phenomenal. We loved it so much we have booked it again for when we are there on our first day in the parks!

Experiencing scuba diving for the first time
At Typhoon Lagoon, you could experience scuba diving in their shark/ray tank they have in the corner of the water park. Matt and I jumped at the chance and for $20/30 each we just couldn't say no. It's not the full submerge scuba diving experience you would probably get in the sea however it was just as fun, as we got to wear all the gear (we just couldn't go fully under). We managed to get some gorgeous pictures of the wildlife in the water and have a lot of fun while doing so. Unfortunately, Typhoon Lagoon do not offer this experience anymore which sucks as it was fab.

Meeting Stitch in front of the castle in Magic Kingdom
Stitch is by far one of those characters who will always be held in my heart. I used to watch Lilo and Stitch all the time and devote most of my time watching the TV series over and over again. So when I met him in front of the castle it really was a special moment for me. Matt and I waited in the queue for ages (well it felt long in the heat we were standing in) and the out come of the meet and greet was just perfect. I wouldn't have changed it. The photo was also perfect too.

Meeting Goofy
My main man, my knight in shining armor. my go-to guy, my goof. I adore Goofy so blooming much. I honestly think he is such an underrated character and it breaks my heart. When I met Goofy I was so incredibly happy and I can;t wait to meet him many more times in June. I have some plans up my sleeve to try and pull off a cute Goofy Disney bound to wear when meeting him once again. I have also got my eye on some cute Goofy Minnie ears.

Dinning at the Royal Table
The Royal Table is situated in Cinderella's castle itself. We were so lucky to get this booking. Matt just rang up the day before my birthday and somehow managed to get a booking. This was a really special meal as it was such a spontaneous booking and it was my birthday. We met so many of the princesses and it was wonderful. I was so happy because we met Aurora and I was worried we wouldn't be able to meet her whilst we were in the parks. The food was yummy too and our waitress was so lovely, she made our meal even more magical.

Turning 20
I mean having a birthday at Disney World just makes it so incredibly magical there is not much more that I can say! I can't wait to spend my 22nd birthday there this year too!

Riding and visiting the attractions
There are so many rides and attractions that I just loved at the parks, I really couldn't just talk about one! I think I'm going to share with you all mine and Matt's top attractions at the parks in a future post. However, here is some honourable mentions that I just have to share due to how great they were: Space Mountain, Mount Everest, Rockin' Roller coaster, Shake it Dance Party, Illuminations, Star Wars Fireworks and Star Tours.
Meeting cast members
Something that Matt and I loved was meeting so many incredible cast members. Whether it was the security at the entrances of the parks or the UK representatives in Epcot, we just loved talking to them and hearing about their experiences. One girl we spoke to in Animal Kingdom, shouted down at us when she noticed us in the Space Mountain queue on her day off which was really lovely that she remembered us and wished us well.

Mickey Waffles
I can't wait to get my hands on Mickey Waffles again. They are so yummy and are by far one of my fave treats in the parks for breakfast. If you haven't tried these yummy waffles then you need to because they are fab
There you have some of the great memories Matt and I created when we visited Disney World in 2016. Obviously there are so many more memories we made but I just couldn't mention everything otherwise this post would be so incredibly long. I hope you enjoyed this post and can't wait for the next Disney themed post next month!

Blogger Book Nook #6 | Sharing The Love of Books

Aloha dolls πŸŒΊ

Can you believe that Blogger Book Nook has hit it's 6 month anniversary? It really has flown by and like I say every month, I feel so proud with how this little book club is going. Every week we have new individuals joining us (hello by the way and thanks for joining!) and the response we get on the Facebook group is just wonderful.

As Valentines Day was this month, we thought that this month we should make it all about 'sharing the love of books' and to make this prompt a little more special we decided to hold book swaps! Book swaps are so much fun, whether it's with a friend or a family member, I just love taking part in them. Abbey and I decided we would swap books with one another and the book we both received we would read and review them! I can't wait to share my views on the book Abbey sent me but firstly I'm going to answer the monthly questions!

Don't know what Blogger Book Nook is?
Blogger Book Nook is a book club created by myself and Abbey from Abbey Louisa Rose. The whole idea behind this book club is that we wanted a club which would encourage ourselves and others to read more and read more genres we wouldn't normally pick up! Not only do we write a monthly post but we also have a Facebook group where ourselves and others can discuss everything books!
1. Is there a fellow book blogger whose shelves you'd love to raid?
There are so many booktubers that I adore and all of their book shelves are gorgeous. All full with wonderful books that I would love to get my hands on. Some of those booktubers being Ariel Bissett, Ben Alderson, Emily Fox, Grace and Regan. A fellow blogger however, I would love to raid Charlene's and Jenny's book shelves as they both always have so many brilliant book reviews over on their blogs!

2. If you could swap lives with any book character for a day, who would it be?
I honestly despise this question as I never know who to pick, that and all my favourite characters don't have the best lives. I guess if I had to pick someone, I would probably trade lives with Hermione. I know her life isn't full of sunshine and rainbows but damn, I'd do anything to be a student at Hogwarts!

3. Do you normally swap books with friends or do you hang on to books you've finished reading?
I love to swap books with my friends, it just all depends on the book I'm swapping. If I want someone to read a book that I loved I will normally buy my friend the book so that I can keep my own copy. I guess this probably makes me quite selfish when it comes to my books but I find it real difficult to part with books I love. If I'm swapping a book that I wasn't 100% with and I know I won't get to again the I will just swap that book as I don't have that emotional attachment!

4. If you could send a copy of one book that you really love to everybody on the planet, which would it be?
Oh this is a hard one, it would have to be 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' by Sarah J. Maas or 'Cinder' by Marissa Meyer!

5. Is there a book on your shelf that you love so much, you'd never swap it with anybody?
Any book that I loved, or most of my series books (so book series I have devoted my time to). Examples being 'The Court of Thorns and Roses' series, 'The Lux' series, 'The Lunar Chronicles' series and 'The Mortal Instrument' series.
Mini Book Review (Currently Reading): Melancholy Mind by Charlene McElhinney

Abbey was a darling and sent me over Charlene's book and I'm thrilled to have this book in my collection. I have read snippets of Charlene's book here and there but never read through the whole thing but now I have and I can honestly say it brought tears to my eyes. If you didn't know already, this book is a memoir of Charlene's mental health journey, written through beautiful poetry.

What I love about this book is that you can read it in order or you can open up at a random page and read a few of the entries as all of the entries are so powerful in their own way as well as powerful when reading them in order. They all hold their own messages making it such a thought provoking read.
I loved reading this book just before I went to sleep; reading a few entries an evening. Reading it in the evening allowed me to shut off from the world and reflect on everything. I've been struggling a lot recently with my own life and by reading this, it has helped me feel humble again. I can't thank Charlene enough for that and I know that 'Melancholy Mind' will be a book I will always go to when I'm feeling sad or not myself.

If you haven't read Charlene's book then please do. It really is such an eye opening book that everyone needs to read.

Coco | A Movie Review

 Movie Review #2

Aloha dolls πŸŒΊ

I enjoyed writing my last movie review so much that I knew I had to do it again! It's also on my 2018 goals list and so I start as I mean to go on. Today I'm reviewing Coco which is the brand new Disney Pixar animation that was released in the UK on January 19th. I knew I needed to see this film in the cinema as I find Disney films (and any film for that matter) are so much better on the big screen. Matt and I went to watch it back at the start of February and oh my, it was brilliant.

The Story
I loved the story, it really was brilliant and so thought provoking. You follow a young boy who's from a family who make shoes as a living. Unfortunately, Miguel has other passions that don't agree with what his family believe in or what his family hope for him to become. The passion that Miguel holds that is forbidden is his family is his passion towards music and how he wants to be a musician. After a few events, Miguel finds himself in the after world and is faced with having to get back into the land of the living. There he meets many wonderful characters and that's when the story gets really interesting.

What I love about this story is how much Mexican history has been put into it. I especially love how it's based around and focused on the day of the dead. Not only is it just a fun holiday to explore but it's also really educational if you don't know anything about the day of the dead.

The overall story is such an emotional one that really got my tears going by the end. Disney films always make me cry so much and this one was no exception. Matt even turned round to me and said 'I don't think I have ever seen you cry this much at a Disney film before' -  I was a MESS. The story was also really funny, there was a great balance between fun and emotion making it a brilliant film to watch. I honestly have no bad word to say about the story line as I honestly thought it was perfect.
The Characters
All of the characters in the film are great and really bring the story to life. I actually love that the film is named after Mama Coco who is Miguel's great grandmother. Miguel is the protagonist of the story and you follow him throughout the story, yet the film is named after Coco which I find endearing. I loved Miguel, he was such a fun character and he was so innocent too. He was so sweet and you instantly full in love with his character as soon as you meet him and damn he is amazing on the guitar!

Another character you meet is Hector. Hector in the after world and he is probably my favourite character in the whole film. Again he's another sweet character and he's also so much fun. You feel for him from the first time you meet him and you just love him more and more as the story goes on.

There are so many more wonderful characters such as Ernesto de la Cruz and Imelda. Another character I have to mention is Dante. Dante is I guess Miguel's side kick and is just super cute. He is a scrappy dog that lives on the streets of Mexico who follows Miguel around everywhere and brings such great comic value to the story.

The Animation/Scenery
The two directors (Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina) did such a superb job when it came down to the animation in this movie. The colours were beautiful and it really did show Mexico's beauty wonderfully. I have never been to Mexico however I have visited the Mexican pavilion at Epcot and so many scenes reminded me of it. Especially the scene that were situated in the courtyards.

Obviously Disney are known for their amazing animation and they didn't disappoint with Coco. I fall in love with the animation every time and it's definitely what makes Disney's films so incredibly special. I wish I could draw as well as the animators can.
The Music
Well, what can I say the music was perfect and fitted so well with the theming of the movie. It was all mariachi band -esque with the guitars and trumpets. The main song that is played throughout the film is 'Remember Me' and it's a real fun and lovely song. There's so much more to the song too which makes it even more brilliant!

My Overall Thoughts
I really did love this film. It was so beautiful to look at and the story was so touching. I 100% recommend to go watch this in the cinema too as it really is breath taking on the big screen. So if you haven't seen it yet then you need to try and catch it whilst it's still in the cinema.

How I De-stress at University

Aloha dolls πŸŒΊ

Recently I have been really struggling with the stress of university. I think second year has really taken a toll on me and I'm just finding it difficult to keep up with everything, causing me to feel low most of the time. Though I'm struggling, there are a few things I have been doing that have been helping me bounce up again in how I'm feeling. I thought it would be nice to share with you how I de-stress at university and maybe it will help you de-stress too, whether that's at university or at home.

Having a Shower - Now I know that normally if you want to relax and de-stress you would normally head straight into the bath however I don't have a bath at university, so I turn to having a shower instead. I find having a shower really does help, it helps me reflect on how I'm feeling. I also love having a shower in the evening as it makes me feel all cosy when I come out. I'm currently using Zoella's Snowella shower gel and it smells so yummy and leaves your skin feeling super soft but when I finish with that I'm going to treat myself with a LUSH shower gel as I find if you lavish in a yummy shower gel it makes your shower that little bit more special and enjoyable. After I have jumped out the shower I will also moisturise which I enjoy doing, especially before bed again making me feel all cosy.

Painting my nails - This probably doesn't come to a shock for some of you but painting my nails is something I try and do regularly, normally whenever my current nail varnish starts to chip. I love painting my nails whether it's just a simple paint or I add a gem stone or two. As this is something I really enjoy it naturally de-stresses me instantly and puts me in such a relaxed mood.

Applying a face mask - Face masks are also a great way to get you feeling relaxed and happy. When I put a face mask on I always get excited, the thought of knowing I'm doing something good to my skin just puts me in the best mood. I try and do this once or twice a week depending how busy I am that week as not only does it benefit my skin but it benefits my mood too.

Going to the gym/Going to volleyball practice - Any type of sport or exercise naturally de-stresses you as it helps release endorphin's (happy hormones!). I've recently been making more of an effort to go to weekly volleyball practice as well as visiting the gym when I can and I feel so much better for it. I'm not the most healthiest of girls but I'm trying to be as healthy as I can! Volley practice definitely helps me de-stress as not am I playing a sport that I love but I'm surrounded by people that I love to.
Reading a book - Before 2018, between September and December my reading went down hill, I just didn't make time for it. This is something I have changed this year and because I'm making more of an effort I find that I'm not stressing as much due to being able to escape the real world whilst visiting another world through a book. Reading has always been a mechanism of mine to help me de-stress and relax and it always will be my go-to.

Watching a film/TV series I love - Sometimes, I'm just not in the mood to read due to how tired my brain is from all the university work I have been doing. If this is the case I will put on a film or TV series I love or loving at the time and just let myself turn into a potato. I will normally paint my nails during this time too, combing two activities that help me de-stress at the same time!

Talking to Matt - Finally, I talk to Matt. This is something that helps me so much. It may seem simple and to be honest it is but talking to Matt really helps brighten my mood and he's ace at making me feel less stressed. I think because Matt and I have been through so much. grown so much together too that we are in a position in our relationship that we just know how to help one another. He knows what to say and he's great at just listening to me. It's even better when he's visiting me in Chester because then I can give him a great big cuddle which instantly relaxes me. I know that's cringe but hey, everyone loves a little bit of cringe in their lives I don't care what you say!!

All of these factors really do help me feel less stressed and more relaxed and HAPPY! If you are having a crap day or university/work is stressing you out then definitely try some of these things out as they really do help.

Barry M Under The Sea Collection

What's On My Nails #4
Aloha dolls πŸŒΊ

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Whether you're spending it with a loved one or taking the day celebrate you, I hope you are having a wonderful day. Today, Matt and I spending the day with one another. We haven't been able to spend Valentines day together for the last 2 years and even though we don't necessarily celebrate Valentines day, we are still thrilled we get to spend it together. Matt has called the day 'Mabitha Appreciation Day'.

I bring to you a 'What's on My Nails' post and today I'm going to be discussing my thoughts on Barry M's latest nail varnish collection. I try to keep up with Barry M's new releases as much as possible and so when I noticed that they released the 'Under The Sea' collection on the 31st January I just knew I had to get my hands on them. For starters they are inspired by mermaids and the gorgeous wildlife under the sea (hence the collection name) and secondly, they really are beautiful. All of the shades have pretty oil slick styled shades, emphasising different colours, making them look real pretty and cute!
From Left to Right: Angelfish, Pinktail
A gorgeous pale cream colour. I love this shade for a subtle neutral look. Not only is it a great neutral shade but it's also a little different by having a two-tone effect. Showing subtle shades of pink and a  beautiful shimmer when the light hits your nails. It really is such a pretty colour.

As you can guess by the name of this nail varnish, it is a pretty perky pink with a two-tone shade of yellow/gold. Providing a lovely shimmer to it also. I love this shade because I just love how cute the pink colour looks on your nails. It's not too loud of a pink but it's still recognisable.
From Left to Right: Jellyfish, Butterflyfish
Purple with a beautiful subtle green shimmer as the second tone to this two-tone effect nail varnish. Again this shades just gorgeous on your nails, providing you with a pretty pastel purple with a gorgeous shimmer to it.

This two-tone nail varnish is blue with the subtle hits of purple/silver coming through. I love blue nail varnishes but sometimes find them quite hard to wear however due to this one being so subtle it's perfect and gorgeous too.
From Left to Right: Angelfish, Pinktail, Jellyfish, Butterflyfish
All of the shades in Barry M's new collection really are stunning and I guess the only down side to them is that they are quite opaque so you need to add at least 2-3 coats on your nail of you don't want your actually nail to show through. You could also use a white nail varnish as a base coat and then add 1-2 coats of these nail polishes and that really works well as the white emphasises the shimmers in the polishes.

Overall, I love these nail varnishes as they provide such a subtle yet pretty cute look! I will definitely be wearing these a lot and I can't wait to experiment with designs with them too.

Have you got any of these nail varnishes? Or are you wanting to get your hands on them? Let me know in the comments below.

Current Wishlist #2

Aloha dolls 🌺

I am ALWAYS wishing to buy something. I find it so difficult to not buy myself nice things but as I', in desperate need of saving I've had to lock away my bank card in the hopes of not buying unnecessary items. So far, it's going well. Everything I'm mentioning on today's wishlist are things I'm slowly saving up for (except for one item) as I am currently a very... VERY broke student. They're also items that I don't really need at the moment as well as items I'd like to treat myself to before I go away in June (read my holiday announcement here).
1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette (£43.00) - As you all probably know from my last few posts I am obsessed with eye shadow palettes. I'm constantly picking them up when I visit the local drug store that it has become quite a bad habit. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette however is something I am in need of. It's utterly gorgeous and I don't care how late I am to this party but I am dying to get my hands on this palette. My plan is to save up for it (because let's be honest, it's not the cheapest palette in the world) and buy it especially for my Disney holiday in June. Honestly, I think that's a genius idea if I do say so myself.

2. Selfie Ring Light (£6.29) - In my last post (read here) I stated that I'm in the process of buying a selfie light as all I want to do is share my makeup and eye shadow looks with you all. To be honest, I would love to be able to afford an actual set up (camera stand, ring light/soft boxes) but let's be frank, I am poor and I have no space for it either at university or at home currently, so a selfie ring light will just do I think! I'm hoping that this will just allow me to take nice close up photos of my eye shadow looks for the time being, until I can afford a proper set up.

3. Rimmel London Urban Affair Nail Varnishes (£5.98) - Recently on instagram, so many wonderful bloggers have been gifted the new Urban Affair collection from Rimmel London. In the set, there are three new matte lipsticks (which I LOVE the look of) and four new nail varnishes. Another passion of mine is painting my nails as many of you know and I am slowly getting more adventurous with my designs and patterns! When I saw these shades I was instantly drawn to them as the shades are totally up my street. Nudes, pinks and dark's - YAS GURL! It's taken all my will power to not order all of the shades online right now but oh man I am tempted. However, I am still making my way through my Essie collection so I feel bad if I go and buy more varnishes... I am tempted though, maybe one?

4. Instax Mini 90 New Classic Camera (£119.00) - Since getting into the whole scrap booking community (which I have been loving by the way) I think it would be a great idea to get myself an instant camera. I love the way instant photos look in a scrapbook and I just think it would bring another personal element to my scrap booking journey. This is something I will definitely be getting myself for mine and Matt's Disney holiday as I can just imagine the photos are going to be so special and stunning. I can't wait to capture Cinderella's castle in an instant picture.

5. AKASO EK7000 4K Sport Action Camera (£69.99) - I'm having a real dilemma when it comes to the vlogging situation. I would love to get involved and vlog properly but if I'm being real honest, I just don't think I', confident enough. I am however confident enough to produce 'montage' vlogs; I've created some in the past and loved it. So instead of splurging out on a brand new vlogging camera I think I may treat myself to a new high quality sports camera instead as my GoPro has seen better days. This is something I may purchase soon as I'm off to Spain in March and I think it would be great getting some footage whilst I'm out there exploring.

Are any of these items on your wishlist at the moment? Have you got any of these items that you love? I would love to know.

Soph x Revolution Palette | A Beauty Product Review

Aloha Dolls,

Today I'm going to be sharing with you my thoughts on the Soph x Revolution Eye Shadow Palette. Before you say anything, I know I am SUPER late to the party and I know Sophie released this palette ages ago but I only really discovered her youtube channel about a month or two ago. If you don't know who Sophie is, she is a FAB beauty youtuber and if you don't watch her videos you need to because they are so real and honest! Check out her videos here

Anyway, I picked this palette up at the start of the year and I am OBSESSED. It's my go-to night out palette at the moment as I just love the warm/bright shades.

At a first glance these colours really are stunning. I haven't got a palette that's similar to this one which is why I think I love it so much. My favourite colours have to be the warm and bright ones yet I adore the golds and different colours (such as the purple and green) just as much also. Sophie has done a brilliant job when it came down to the transitioning shades as they are so blendable and easy to use.  I thought it was a nice touch too, adding in the three blonde/brunette matte shades that you can not only use on your eyes but as eyebrow fillers too. It just makes this palette so versatile.

As I stated earlier, this palette is currently my go-to night out palette. I just think the shades are so much fun and I can either go for a glam look or a fun bright look. Since getting this palette all I want to do is by more bright and colourful palettes as they're just so much fun to use and I love experimenting with different colours. I have my eye on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette next - again I know, it came out ages ago but I just want to play around with those bright pink shades!
When it comes down to the quality of the shades it really is great. All of the mattes are so pigmented and even the darker shades are easy to blend. All of the shimmers are stunning too, pigmented and super glittery! I really do love this palette. I 100% recommend picking up this palette when you're next in Superdrug if you want a bright and fun palette in your collection.

I'm in the process of sorting myself out with a selfie light to allow me to take pictures of my make up looks. This is something I really want to do as I am obsessed at the moment with make up (especially eye shadows). I'm hoping to order a small light in the hopes to share with you a daily make up look and some night out eye shadow looks too.

Have you got this palette? What are your thoughts?

My Top 5 Red Carpet Dresses | SAG Awards 2018

Aloha Dolls!

On the 21st January the SAG awards were held and let's be honest so many of the current Hollywood leading ladies looks so glam and gorgeous. I don't normally post or share my views on my favourite red carpet looks but I thought it would be kinda cool sharing with you all my top 5 looks! Honestly, everyone looked stunning but these 5 dresses definitely stood out for me when looking over the footage of the event!

*All pictures found were on the Vogue website, all rights go to them*
1. Kristen Bell in J Mendel
This was probably the prettiest dress I saw on the carpet and it suits Kristen Bell down to a T, with her sweet personality and petite features. The colour is also GORGEOUS, being a very deep pink/purple. It really does give off that princess vibe which again just suits Kristen so well. I also love the cluster of flowers that spread out nearer to the bottom of the dress, so pretty.
2. Mandy Moore in Diane von Furstenberg
Now, does this dress not give off Little Mermaid vibes?? Right at the end of the movie when she get's given legs by her dad and she wears that glitter slip dress? Well this dress gave me those vibes and I LOVE it. Mandy Moore looks so beautiful in this slip styled dress and the glitter just makes the dress look even more stunning. I love how it clings on to her body at the top but then subtly flows out near to the bottom.
3. Margot Robbie in Miu Miu
Margot Robbie always looks wonderful and she is definitely up there as one of my style icons. This dress is really different with the feathered detail sitting above her waist and she really does rock it. I really love the pearl and diamante detail on the top half of the dress and the colour is super pretty too. I am a little bias as I do idolise her quite a lot but I just love how she pulled of this look even with the 3/4 different textures going on!
4. Natalia Dyer in Dior Couture
Natalia Dyer is another icon I idolise and this dress really is gorgeous. The cosmic details on the skirt of the dress makes the outfit so different and unique. This probably has to be my favourite as I love how the skirt puffs out and really focuses on Natalia Dyer's waist. Heightening her figure. I also think this dress is quite simple in the shape and colours yet that makes it look so elegant.
5. Yara Shahidi in Ralph Lauren Collection
Finally this is my last pick from the SAG Awards. Yara Shahidi sports this black jumpsuit with the dramatic train coming off at her waist. This stuck out to me as it's again really different. Even though this jumpsuit is just one block colour the train at the back really makes this outfit standout, making look elegant and sophisticated. I really do love this outfit as it's just so dramatic with the train detail.

There you have it, my top 5 red carpet dresses. I really enjoyed writing this post as I love looking at what everyone wore and so it was lovely sharing with you my views on them. Maybe I will do the same when the Oscars airs next week. I hope you enjoyed this post too!

What was your favourite outfit of the night? Do any of these outfits stand out to you?

Disney World 2018 Annoucement

Aloha Dolls,

If you haven't guessed by the title of this post then I have some pretty exciting news to tell you all! Matt and I are off to Disney World this June and I am SO blooming excited. Since visiting Florida back in 2016 we've just been wanting to fly back and experience the magic again. Some people may say we are crazy to be going back so soon but as we adored it so much last time we thought it we be fab to go back again.

We booked the trip back in early November last year and I have been wanting to blab about it ever since however we decided to keep it on the down low until the New Year arrived (I mean I did blab it to many close friends and family but I kept my mouth zipped when it came to social media!).
We will be flying out to Orlando on the 27th June and staying there for two weeks, which means we will be there for my birthday and the 4th of July again. I'm going to be turning 22 this year and so we are VERY excited to try out the many alcoholic cocktails Disney has to offer as we couldn't drink alcohol when we went in 2016 (darn over 21 rule!).

This time round we will be staying at The Caribbean Beach Resort and it looks GORGEOUS. I can't wait to experience staying in a moderate hotel instead of a value hotel and see whether the extra dollar is worth it. I'm also excited to stay in a different hotel as hotels are always exciting in my opinion.
Is it sad that I'm also over the moon knowing I'll be reunited with my favourite character Goofy! I can't wait to capture all the cute photos with him together!
As we are going to flying off in about 5 months time, I'm planning on sharing with you all a Disney holiday themed post with you all on the lead up to travel day. So expect to see around 5 Disney holiday themed posts on my blog over the next few months! Matt and I are also determined to vlog whilst we are out there as not only would it be fun but it would also be a way of us documenting our holiday and being able to look back over it when we've come home.
As you can probably tell from this post I am so incredibly excited to get back out to Disney World and I really hope you're excited to see some Disney content on my blog! As well as maybe seeing mine and Matt's very first vlog's together!

Have you got your holiday booked this year?

My Current Favourites #2

Aloha Dolls!

This week has been a manic one! I've been in the library most days trying to complete an assignment as much as I can so my lecture can go over it next week! I'm just trying to get on top of my coursework as I'm struggling with the load at the moment so the more on top of things I get the better I'm gonna feel stress wise. Today however is the day I share with you my current favourites, so let's dive straight into them!
The Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout - During December, I kept on picking books up that I just couldn't get in to. It was a real shame because I wanted to read and the books I were picking up were good I just couldn't read no more than 10-20 pages at a time. This January though, I decided to pick up The Lux series again and I am so happy I did. It's such an enjoyable series and because it's so fun I fly through them.

Heated Blanket - My house at university is always SO cold. It really is a nightmare so for Christmas I asked for a heated blanket and it was the best decision I have ever made! Not only does it keep me toasty warm at university but also when I go home (as my bedroom at home always seems so cold). I just love it.
Walt Disney Goofy Mugs - If you don't know, Goofy is by far my favourite classic Disney character. He's adorable, funny and just great. I have decided to start a Goofy collection as I find that his stuff is very rare making his items more special to me. When I saw these mugs on the Disney store website, I just had to pick them up and I LOVE them, they are so cute and fit in with  my collection perfectly.

The Crown Season 2 - I binged the first season of The Crown and I really enjoyed it. If you haven't watched it, it's all about our Queen (Queen Elizabeth) today and her journey becoming an being the Queen of England. When the second season 2 was released in December, I binged it in about 5 days. It was so good and if you haven't watched it please do! You won't regret it!
Eye Shadow Palettes/Looks - I have always loved makeup but recently I just can't get enough of experimenting with eye shadows. It's my favourite part to my makeup routine, whether I'm going for a subtle or dramatic look! I have picked up so many different palettes in the last 2 months and I'm still eyeing up so many more! Currently my Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette is my FAVE, I just love experimenting with the gorgeous shimmer colours.

I really hope you enjoyed reading another one of my current favourites posts! I really enjoy writing them! Eye shadows are definitely my most favourite thing at the moment as I just can't get enough of them, all I want to do is buy more and experiment with more colours!

Also I would just like to announce that I have finally started up my blog Instagram again! Hopefully this time I won't flop and give up! Please give me a follow here! Following everyone back!
