My October Wishlist

#2

Today I thought I would share with you what I'm wishing for this month. I enjoy reading these posts as well as writing them so I'm going to try my hardest to make this a monthly thing. It may also help me stay organised when it comes to blog as well as providing some structure to it. This month my wishlist is quite small and some of these products I've been wanting for quite a while so hopefully over the next few weeks I can treat myself to a few of them!

1. Timberland Slim Premium 6 Inch Boots, Eiffel Tower Grey Nubuck - £130.00
Last year I bought some Timberland boots, these ones to be exact, and I have recently fallen back in love with them due to the autumn season. As I've fallen back in love with my Timberlands I just want another pair, crazy I know but I want some that are more like the original boots, so these ones above are just perfect. I love the colour and I love how classic they look too! They would just look fab pair with jeans and a cosy knitted jumper.

2. Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser - £15
My skin at the moment is AWFUL, I don't know whether it's because of the stress of going back to university or whether it's down to my shocking diet at the moment or just a mix of the two! I saw Zoe from Zoella mention this cleanser in her latest favourites video and it sounds like a great cleanser, a cleanser I need right now!

3. Moonlight Melts, Wax Melts - £1.50-1.90
Since moving back to university, I have been obsessed with my electric wax melter, I constantly turn it on and enjoy the sweet aroma of the wax melt I have used. When I came across Moonlight Melts on twitter I just had to have a look on their website and I was very impressed with the shear amount of scent selections they had; the prices are also amazing! These are just some of the scents that have caught my eye: autumn leaves, dragons blood, gingerbread, orange and cinnamon, magic potion. I've actually put in a small order and I honestly can't wait to try them, I'll definitely be uploading a review on them when I've used them.

4. Pull & Bear Wool Sweater - £35.99
An item of clothing I'm obsessed with at the moment is knitted jumpers, I think they are the staple look when going into the autumn season. Chunky knitted jumpers are especially my favourite as you can really cosy up in it! This Pull & Bear jumper is just that, I'm obsessed with the way it looks and I just adore the colours! This jumper, blue jeans and the Timberland boots I mentioned earlier would be my ideal outfit!

5. Urban Decay ALL NIGHTER Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray - £23.50
Recently I have been OBSESSED with Urban Decay, I'm just loving their products at the moment and all I want to do is try more and more. On the top of my list is their setting spray, I already use their primer so to use their setting spray as well, I feel would tie my makeup look all together. It will also reduce the amount of makeup that sweats off my face throughout the day!

I hope you enjoyed this months wishlist and I also hope you're looking forward to seeing this instalment in my blog more often!

Have you got any of the products/items I've mentioned above?
Or are you wishing on some of these items/products too?

The Spooky Season is Upon Us

#2

It's that time again, it's time for this months #bbooknook instalment and I'm super excited for this months post as I LOVE the theme. This months theme we have gone for is a spooky/scary/Halloween theme as it seems fitting going into the month of October. I honestly can't wait to dive into this months 5 questions and share with you what book I'm currently reading to get myself feeling all spooky. Abbey (the wonderful co-finder of Blogger Book Nook) and I also hope that you too pick up a spooky/Halloween read this month and potentially experience a genre you wouldn't normally read or delve in to a genre you know and love! After you've read my post, I urge you to read Abbey's post as it's just brilliantly spooky.

I really am so excited for these questions, Abbey thought of them and they're all really great and fit so well with the theme. I also can't wait to share with you the book I'm currently reading! Anyway, let's jump straight into these questions!

1. Has a book ever scared you silly? If so, which one was it and would you recommend it?
If I'm being honest, I have never read a book that has scared me silly! When it comes to scary books, they really don't scare me, they actually really interest me (which I don't know if that's weird or not? but hey ho)! So I honestly couldn't give you a recommendation of a book that will scare you silly!

2. Who is the most terrifying character you've ever come cross?
Well, this is somewhat easy but I think one of the most terrifying characters I have ever read about is Amarantha from 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' by Sarah J. Maas. She is the definition of evil. The things she did in the 'ACOTAR' was deadly and disgusting and she really was terrifying. I know I wouldn't want to meet her in real life!

3. Zombies, Ghosts or Vampires - Which are your favourite to read about?
I love vampire books, I just love them. I mean I'm not the biggest fan of the 'Twilight' series but there are so many other vampire books that are brilliant. Such as 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'The Vampire Academy'!

4. Do you find horror movies or horror books scarier? Why?
Like I said earlier, I find scary books not that scary but interesting! However, scary movies on the other hand are a big no no for me. I actually scare myself more than the actual film does and it's a right nuisance! I'm not sure why I find scary movies scarier than books but it's probably down to the music and atmosphere that scary movies give off.

5. What scary books would you recommend to someone new to the genre?
Even though I haven't read too many scary books a book I would recommend is 'Dorothy Must Die' by Danielle Paige! It's a real dark scary take on the Wizard of Oz where Dorothy is the evil one and the the wicked witches are the good guys! I definitely recommend this book if you want a fun yet scary/dark read!

My Scary/Spooky Current Read:
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

I picked up 'MPHFP' this month due to the creepy aesthetic it gives with the spooky/creepy pictures that are presented within it throughout the book! I think it's a really cool unique idea and so far I'm loving it as it allows you to picture the peculiar children and other characters such as Miss Peregrine. The story itself is also quite scary as the villains in the book are vert grotesque and scary, I mean I wouldn't want to come face to face with these monsters. It's probably not the most scariest of scary books but I admire it and I think it's so different due to the photographs in the book. I'm definitely going to review this book when I've finished it and I do hope I enjoyed it as much as I'm enjoying it at the moment.

Anyway, I'm going to leave this post here and I really hope you all liked reading this months instalment of Blogger Book Nook! Remember you can join in on our monthly themes by answering your questions yourself! You can also join us over on Facebook where we answer daily questions and take part in Sunday weekly resolutions, in the hopes we pick up our books and read them! The link for that group is here. Apologies are Needed

It's been a while since I sat down in front of my laptop and wrote out a post. I feel so incredibly guilty and bad, it's not good. Unfortunately I just let everything else in my life get in the way, causing me to have a major hiatus on my blog as well as on my twitter. So, I really do apologise for this. I finally seem to have myself back on track with almost everything and so hopefully I'll be posting a little more regularly from now on.

I honestly hate how often this happens and I wish I could just hold my post upload schedule more than 6-8 weeks. I'm just shocking. I hope to post at least one post a week, or two if I'm feeling productive as well as inspired. So expect a post every Wednesday and Thursday (if I'm uploading a second post that week). These two days work best for me as I have no lectures on Wednesdays and Thursdays allowing me to make time to compose a post!

I hope you don't mind this post being quite short but I just don't wait to ramble and bore you all to death. All I can say is, is that I hope you all still choose to stick around and read my posts and enjoy the content I plan to upload. Oh, and sorry!! Just bare with me if I'm not 100% when it comes to uploading!

In the mean time, how is everyone?
How is everyone's October going?
